RULES V 1.0
REVOLUTION VERSION
"In Luturas Revolution, the objective is simple: be the first to defeat your opponent by taking down all their Luturas using attacks, crystals, and effects. To achieve this, you'll need to win rounds by strategically using your cards. But watch out! Your opponents will be trying to do the same."

Setting Up the Game

Step 1: Gather your cards and playmat.
Each deck consists of 38 to 44 cards (depending on whether you're playing singles or doubles). The deck is divided as follows:
-
6 Luturas, each with 3 Action Moves (attacks).
-
2 Target cards per Lutura.
-
12 Crystal cards.
-
4 Action cards.
Step 2: Arrange the cards on the playmat.
Ensure the cards are placed in their designated areas on the playmat and organized by category. This helps streamline gameplay and keeps everything in order.

Dealing the Cards

When cards are dealt to a player:
-
Keep them hidden from your opponent.
-
Always keep your cards organized to improve your strategy and gameplay efficiency.

Game Cards in Luturas

The cards in Luturas are divided into several types. Here's a detailed explanation of each:
Card Types
-
Lutura Card
"These cards represent the creatures in the game. They are the primary cards, featuring abilities, categories, nature, stamina, defense, and speed."
-
Attack Card
"These cards allow you to attack your opponents and/or activate effects to reduce their stamina points or execute a specific strategy."
-
Action Card
"These cards can be used instead of attacks to achieve a specific objective. There are two types of action cards:-
Defense Action: Blocks opponent attacks for one turn.
-
Switch Action: Lets you swap one Lutura for another."
-
-
Target Card
"Target cards determine which opponent or Lutura you’ll attack or switch. There are red targets and blue targets, and the playmat will guide you on how to use them effectively."
-
Crystal Card
"These special cards have unique effects that can turn the tide of the game, such as defending against critical attacks, increasing speed, and more. See section #2 for details."
Gameplay Development
-
Now, let’s see how a round is played. Players will go through consecutive phases during the game. These phases are as follows:

Preparation Phase
During the Preparation Phase, each player simultaneously selects their Main Lutura and the Luturas for the Bench, placing them face down in their respective slots on the playmat.
-
Main Lutura: This is the Lutura that will be active and used in the battle.
-
Bench Luturas: These are additional Luturas that can be swapped into the battle later.
Each player arranges their cards in the designated areas on the playmat, ensuring that their Main Lutura is visible and ready to take action, while the Bench Luturas remain face down until they are needed.

After this preparation, the Luturas are revealed, and then a cycle begins:
Command Revelation Phase – Each player simultaneously selects commands for their Luturas. They must place an attack/action card, a crystal, and target facedown in their respective slots on the playmat.

After Preparation: The Battle Cycle
Once the preparation phase is complete, the game enters a battle cycle with the following steps:
1. Command Reveal Phase
Each player simultaneously selects the commands for their Luturas. Players will place one Attack/Action card, one Crystal card, and one Target card face down in their respective slots on the playmat.
2. Crystal Reveal Phase
Each player simultaneously reveals the selected Crystal cards. These crystals will determine special effects during the round.
3. Battle Phase
Each player reveals their chosen actions in order of Speed. In the event of a speed tie, the player who goes first is determined by a coin flip. If a player activates a Topaz Crystal, their Luturas gain priority for attacks, even if they are slower than their opponent's Luturas. If there are two Topaz Crystals and a speed tie occurs, a coin flip will decide who goes first.
It’s important to remember that the Topaz Crystal affects the attack order and should be considered during the attack reveal. Target cards can also be revealed simultaneously during this phase.
This phase is further subdivided into two phases:
3a. Attack Phase
Every time an Attack card dealing damage is revealed, the player must roll two six-sided dice (d6) to determine if the attack hits.
-
Damage Calculation:
-
If the attack is strong against the target's nature, it deals 3 damage (or 4 damage with a SYNC BOOST).
-
If the attack is neutral against the target's nature, it deals 2 damage (or 3 damage with a SYNC BOOST).
-
If the attack is weak against the target's nature, it deals 1 damage (or 2 damage with a SYNC BOOST).
-
Note: If the Lutura’s Nature and the attack type match, the SYNC BOOST is activated, adding +1 to the usual damage.
3b. Defense Phase
Whenever an attack successfully hits, the player receiving the damage has the opportunity to defend. To do so, they must roll two six-sided dice (d6).
-
If the player successfully defends and reduces the damage, -2 damage is subtracted from the incoming attack.
-
If the reduction results in negative damage (e.g., -1 damage), the attacker will deal 1 point of damage to their own stamina.
This phase ensures that players have a chance to counterattack or reduce the incoming damage.
4. Reset Phase
Once all the Luturas have completed their actions, the used cards return to the player's hand, and the game moves back to Phase 1 (Preparation) for the next round.
Reminder: Each type of card has its own unique effect, so you must carefully plan your moves to maximize your chances of winning. Strategic use of Attack cards, Action cards, Crystals, and Target cards will give you the edge in battle.

Victory Conditions
The game continues until one player successfully defeats all of their opponent's Luturas, reducing their stamina to zero (0).
Important Game Mechanics to Learn:
Section #1: Dice Attack Probability System
To determine if an attack hits, use the following dice probability system:
-
1 = 36/36 (100%)
-
2 = 36/36 (100%)
-
3 = 35/36 (97.2%)
-
4 = 33/36 (91.6%)
-
5 = 30/36 (83.3%)
-
6 = 26/36 (72.2%)
-
7 = 21/36 (58.3%)
-
8 = 15/36 (41.6%)
-
9 = 10/36 (27.7%)
-
10 = 6/36 (16.6%)
-
11 = 3/36 (8.3%)
-
12 = 1/36 (2.7%)
Section #2: Crystal Powers
-
Sapphire: If the defense dice roll is successful, the Lutura can block a critical hit.
-
Ruby: If the attack dice roll is successful, it will always deal a critical hit, regardless of the critical dice result.
-
Topaz: Grants the Lutura the highest speed, unless there are other Luturas using Topaz with higher speed.
-
Amethyst: The attack effects resolve, regardless of the special ability dice roll.
-
Opal: Guarantees a successful attack, regardless of the attack dice result.
-
Emerald: Grants +1 stamina each time it activates. The stamina cannot exceed the maximum limit.
Section #3: Status Effects
-
Statistical Reductions: Only reduced by status effects.
-
Statistical Increases: Only increased by crystal effects to a neutral state.
For example, if a Lutura is Paralyzed and a Topaz Crystal is activated, the Lutura will act as if it’s not paralyzed, but it won’t gain the speed benefit from Topaz either.
Status Effects:
-
Drenched: Cannot defend.
-
Burned: Cannot deal critical hits.
-
Paralyzed: The slowest to act, unless there’s another paralyzed creature.
-
Nullified: Attack effects are nullified.
-
Blurred: 50/50 chance for attack, before rolling the dice.
-
Wounded: The affected creature cannot heal or be healed.
[Tips and Strategies]
Scene 7: Tips for Players
"Now that you know the basic rules, here are some tips to improve your game:"
-
Keep Your Cards Secret: "Don’t let your opponents know what cards you have in hand. Surprise can be key."
-
Think Ahead About Your Opponents’ Moves: "Always try to anticipate your rivals' moves. Don't just play for your strategy, but also for the chance to block theirs."
